Available Programs

TEC Campus School is set on over 8 acres and includes a fully accessible playground, therapeutic pool, fitness center and art room. The Intensive Programs (Early Childhood, Elementary, Middle School, and High School/Transition) offer small classroom setting that provides medical support and multi-sensory instruction in communication and functional skills. The highly supportive environment is specifically designed to meet each student's individual learning, physical, and health care needs.

The Moderate Middle School Program serves students 3-21 ina range of classroom settings. Programming includes small class size with multi-sensory instructio in communicaiton and funcational skills. The highly supportive environment is specifically designed to meet each student's individual needs. Resource rich classrooms are equipped with a range of instructional and assistive technologies. The program provides a range of social skill development and behavior modeling to promote independence.

Located in Walpole, Massachusetts, just fifteen miles south of Boston, The Education Cooperative (TEC) High School is a student-centered, alternative therapeutic school which offers a caring and supportive academic experience to adolescents in grades 8-12. At TEC, experienced, certified classroom teachers and special educators help students master a rigorous college preparatory curriculum while full time, licensed clinical staffs assist students in reaching social emotional development goals. Our dedicated and caring team is committed to using data-driven pedagogical and therapeutic best practices as they help each student reach his or her fullest potential.

Located at the Plimpton Building on the campus of Walpole High School, TEC Phoenix Academy is designed for students in grades 7-12 with academic, emotional and/or behavioral challenges that necessitate a small structured educational setting. The program provides an academic curriculum aligned with the MA Curriculum Frameworks. An integrated team of skilled teachers, adjustment counselors, and therapists assist students to develop self-awareness, effective personal decision making, and collaborative problem solving skills. Licensed Social Workers provide ongoing counseling, clinical consulting, and case management. College and career counseling prepares students for success in school, college, and career.

Located in Westwood High School, the Transition I Program offers a small classroom setting that provides a highly supportive and engaging environment designed to meet each student’s individual needs. The resource rich classroom is equipped with a range of instructional and assistive technologies. The program blends individualized classroom instruction with community-based opportunities designed to empower students to make decisions, advocate for themselves, and prepare them for their transition to adult life. Students are integrated with typical peers through a variety of age-appropriate opportunities in school and community settings. The program provides a range of social skill development, vocational experiences, and behavior modeling to promote independence.

The Transition II Program provides real-world learning opportunities and individualized support to help students maximize their potential for independent living and employment. TEC provides a supportive environment that includes individualized instruction in academic, social, functional, and vocational skills while modeling appropriate adult behavior and responsibilities. Instruction is focused on developing independent, post-secondary living, and working experiences for each student. A person-centered planning process helps students understand their unique capabilities, and take an active role in preparing to accept the responsibilities of being an adult. The program emphasizes an integrated related services approach to maximize student learning.
